SCRAPPLE 
1 lb. whole hog sausage
1 c. cornmeal
1 c. cold water
1 tsp. salt
3 c. boiling water

Brown sausage; drain. Combine cornmeal, cold water, salt and sausage. Stir in hot water, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and cook 5 minutes with cover, stirring some. Put in loaf pan and chill. Slice and pan fry until brown. May serve with syrup or jelly.
