ITALIAN SAUSAGE PIE | |
1/2 c. melted butter 1 tbsp. sugar 1/4 tsp. vanilla 1/4 c. milk 2 eggs 1/2 tsp. baking powder (heaping) 1 c. flour Combine sugar, vanilla, milk, eggs and cooled melted butter; beat together well. Add baking powder and flour gradually. More flour may be needed. Work together with hands until dough comes clean from sides of bowl. Roll with rolling pin, line pie plate. Add filling and cover with top crust. Make slits in top crust and seal edges. Bake at 325 degrees for approximately 45 minutes. FILLING: 1/2 lb. ricotta cheese 1/2 lb. Italian sausage 1/2 c. grated cheese 1/4 lb. boiled ham (chopped in sm. pieces) 3 eggs Cook sausage until well done. Drain and cool. In large bowl, mix cheese, eggs, grated cheese, parsley and salt; mix well. Add sausage; mix well. Pour into pie crust. |
