WHOLE WHEAT CHOCOLATE CHIP
COOKIES
 
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2/3 c. shortening
2/3 c. butter, softened
1 tsp. baking soda
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
3 c. whole wheat flour
1 c. nuts, chopped
1 tsp. salt

Mix sugar, shortening, butter, eggs and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients. Blend well. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in 375 degree oven until light brown, approximately 8 to 10 minutes.
