MOM'S 7 LAYER DINNER | |
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef 2 onions, sliced 4-5 potatoes, sliced 3-4 carrots, sliced 1-2 green peppers, sliced 1 1/2 c. raw rice 1 lg. can tomatoes Need large Dutch oven or such. Brown ground beef slightly. Do not drain. Salt and pepper to taste. Now layer (all on top of meat) : 1. Onion. 2. Potato. 3. Carrots. 4. Green peppers. 5. Rice. Pour canned tomatoes with juice. Cover and bake 2-3 hours at 350 degrees. Uncover last 1/2 hour to brown. |
