KIFLINGS 
1/2 lb. butter
2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. nutmeats
Flour enough to make a stiff dough

Cream butter and sugar well. Add vanilla, nuts and flour last. Pat into loaf. Cut in half or crescent moon shapes.

Bake in moderate oven until lightly browned. Remove from oven and roll in powdered sugar. This cookie is best if made quite thick.
