1 c. packed brown sugar
1 c. butter
1 egg
2/3 c. applesauce
2 1/2 c. Bisquick baking mix
1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. ground cinnamon or allspice
1 c. raisins
2/3 c. chopped nuts

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix brown sugar, butter and egg. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until light brown, 10 or 12 minutes. Immediately remove from cookie sheet, cool slightly. Frost if desired. Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
