BREAKFAST CASSEROLE | |
10 slices bread with crusts removed and lightly buttered 1 lb. hot sausage, browned and drained 1/2 lb. grated sharp Cheddar cheese 4 lg. eggs and 3 c. milk, blended 1. Arrange bread in bottom of 9x13 inch glass casserole dish. 2. Top with sausage and then cheese. 3. Pour milk and egg mixture over this. 4. Refrigerate overnight. 5. Next morning take out of refrigerator approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour prior to baking. 6. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. 7. Great for Christmas morning or for breakfast groups. 8. Leftovers may be chilled, then sliced and frozen individually. Reheats well in microwave. |
