LEMON SQUARES 
CRUST:

2 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/2 lb. butter, softened

Mix flour and powdered sugar. Cut in the butter (work it in well with a fork) then pat mixture into a greased 9"x13" baking pan. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes. Mix filling while crust is baking.

FILLING:

4 eggs, beaten well
2 c. granulated sugar
3 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
5 tbsp. lemon juice
Powdered sugar for topping

Combine all ingredients; mix well. Pour onto hot crust. Bake for another 20 minutes. Remove from oven and spread powdered sugar over cake; cut into squares while warm, not hot or cold. Refrigerate and serve.
