HOT CORNBREAD 
1 1/2 c. yellow corn meal
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 c. sour cream
1 c. grated cheese
1 sm. can cream corn
1/2 c. chopped jalapeno peppers
1/2 c. shortening

Sift dry ingredients together. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Fill muffin pans half full and bake 15 minutes in 450 degree oven. Serves 12.
