THANKSGIVING TURKEY BURGERS | |
This meal is great all year round. I normally make pumpkin pie for afters! 3 lb. ground turkey 1 box turkey stuffing (prepared) 1 bag sun dried cranberries 1 jar turkey gravy seasonings, if desired In a bowl add turkey, cooked turkey stuffing mix, sun dried cranberries and turkey gravy (I usually use a quarter of the jar). I also add a little adobo seasoning or pepper. I leave the salt out. Mix together. If too sloppy mix in some bread crumbs. Make into patties and BBQ. I like to top my turkey burgers with Swiss cheese. I hand make the patties. Makes about 10 to 12 burgers. SIDES: sweet potato french fries fried corn with bacon For the sides I cut up the sweet potatoes and fry them with a little kosher salt. The fried corn, I cut the bacon up into 1-inch sections, fry it and drain out some of the fat. Either canned corn (water drained) or fresh corn cut of the cob. I add that to hot bacon fat and fry. At the end I reintroduce the bacon. Enjoy! Submitted by: Dave Brett |
