ORANGE DROP COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter
2 eggs
1 tbsp. grated orange rind
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. buttermilk

Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs, orange peel, and vanilla. Beat until fluffy. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture with buttermilk. Drop onto ungreased sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

While cookies are warm, frost with following. Combine 1 tablespoon grated orange peel, 3 tablespoons orange juice and 3 tablespoons butter. Stir in 3 cups powdered sugar. Beat well and ice top of cookies. Makes 6 dozen.
