WHOLE WHEAT MUFFINS 
1 c. whole wheat flour, sifted
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. powdered milk
1 c. wheat germ
1 c. milk
2 eggs
1/3 c. sugar
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1/2 c. raisins (optional)

Sift the flours and salt. Add the rest of the ingredients. Stir only enough to moisten. Fill paper baking cups or well greased muffin tins 2/3 full. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until brown. Yield: 12 large muffins.

Variations: Add 1 cup nuts, blueberries, rind of orange, or raw apple (fine chopped).
