SEVEN LAYER CASSEROLE 
1 c. uncooked long-grain white rice
1 c. whole kernel corn (I use more)
Salt and pepper
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
Water
1/2 c. chopped onion or to taste
1/2 c. chopped green pepper or to taste
3/4 lb. ground beef
4 strips or more of bacon

Use at least 2 quart casserole. In bottom put rice and then corn. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Over this pour 1 can tomato sauce mixed with 1/2 cup of water Then cover with layer of onion and green pepper. Put ground beef over this. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and pour over the second can tomato sauce mixed with 1/4 cup water. Cover with strips of bacon. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for one hour. Uncover and bake about 30 minutes or until bacon begins to crisp. Serves 6.
