1/2 c. oil
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. each cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. apples, chopped

Mix above ingredients by hand. Pour into greased tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes. One cup of pecans or walnuts may be added.
