STUFFED BURGERS | |
1 lb. lean ground beef 1 c. fresh bread crumbs (2 slices) 1 egg 1 can (10 3/4 oz.) condensed mushroom soup, undiluted 1/2 c. cooked rice 1/2 c. chopped green onions (about 8) 1/4 c. milk 2 tbsp. pickle relish In a bowl mix well beef, crumbs, eggs and 1/4 cup soup. Shape into 8 thin patties; set aside. Mix rice, green onion and 1/4 cup soup. Divide rice mixture evenly over 4 patties. Top with remaining patties. Pinch and seal edges. Mix remaining soup with milk and relish. Set aside. Pan fry patties in large heavy skillet over moderate heat until brown on both sides. Add soup mixture to skillet, cover and simmer 15 minutes. Lift patties onto serving dish. Spoon sauce over top. Serves 4. |
