CONGO SQUARES 
2 3/4 c. sifted flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. salad oil
2 1/4 c. brown sugar (1 lb. pkg.)
3 eggs
1 c. nutmeats, broken
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Mix oil and brown sugar. Add eggs. Add dry ingredients; then nuts and chips. Pour into greased cookie sheet (jelly roll pan). Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Yields 48 squares. When almost cool, cut into squares.
