BLACK WALNUT CAKE 
3 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1 c. milk
4 eggs

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. With other ingredients, add eggs one by one; beat 3 minutes after each egg. if mixture is hand beaten 300 strokes, with a mixer 8 to 10 minutes or until batter is creamy. Cook 30 to 45 minutes.

BLACK WALNUT CAKE FROSTING:

1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
2 c. homogenized milk
2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter

Bring sugar and milk to a boil. Add butter. Cook until icing is thick. Add chopped walnuts. Stir for 1 minute, let cool, then frost cake.
