PIZZA BY THE YARD | |
1 loaf French bread 1 lb. ground beef 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste 1/4 c. chopped onion 1/4 c. chopped olives 1/3 c. Parmesan cheese 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. oregano Pepper Mozzarella cheese slices Tomato slices Cut French bread in half lengthwise and place on cookie sheet. Mix beef, tomato paste, onion, olives, Parmesan cheese, salt, oregano and pepper and spread evenly on each half loaf. Broil for about 12 minutes, five inches from heat. Remove from heat; alternate slices of Mozzarella cheese and tomato on top. Broil 1 or 2 minutes more. Cut and serve. |
