Handed down through the Macomber family - all the men have to have it for their birthday cake - we gals like it too!

2 eggs, beaten
1 c. sugar, added
1 c. stewed prunes, mashed
1 tbsp. melted butter or oil
1 1/2 c. flour
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. cinnamon in winter, leave out in summer

Pour into layer cake pan (2). Bake at 350 degrees for 25 - 30 minutes. A big part is the frosting.

FROSTING:

2 c. powdered sugar
2 tbsp. (heaping) cocoa
1 cube butter
Cold coffee to mix, as desired to spread
1/2 tsp. vanilla
