1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 c. peanut butter
1/3 c. dark or light corn syrup
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 2/3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Dash of salt

In large bowl cream butter; gradually add sugar and cream until light and fluffy. Beat in 1/2 cup peanut butter, the syrup, egg, vanilla. Stir flour, baking powder and salt. Beat into creamed mixture. Shape dough in 1 inch balls. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Flatten with fork, drop 1/2 teaspoon of remaining peanut butter in center of cookie. Bake in 350 degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes. Cool on rack.
