GRANDKID'S FAVORITE YAM MALLOW CRISP | |
2 (1 lb., 1 oz.) cans yams 1/4 c. orange juice 3/4.c flour 1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon Dash of salt 1/2 c. butter 1 1/2 c. miniature marshmallows Place yams in shallow 6 x 10 inch baking dish (one layer). Pour orange juice over yams. Combine flour, sugar, cinnamon and salt. Mix well. Cut in butter until mixture looks like coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over yams. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Sprinkle with marshmallows and broil until lightly brown. NOTE: To avoid burning marshmallows, add them about 5 minutes before yams are done and brown in regular oven instead of under the broiler. Serves 6. |
