HAMBURGER VEGETABLE CHOWDER 
2 lbs. ground beef
1 med. chopped onion
3 diced carrots
2 c. diced potatoes
1 lg. can whole tomatoes
1 c. water
1/4 c. uncooked barley
Salt and pepper to taste

Brown ground beef and onion. Drain fat. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer 1 hour.

Can substitute ground venison for ground beef.
