OLD FASHIONED GINGERBREAD 
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. molasses
2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves

Beat well and add 1 cup very hot water.

Bake at 325°F for 30 minutes.
