LINGUINI WITH CLAM SAUCE 
1 med. onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
3 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. flour
3 (6 1/2 oz.) cans minced clams
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. dry basil or 1 tsp. fresh
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. salt
3 qts. water
8 oz. uncooked linguini
1/4 c. fresh parsley, chopped
Grated Parmesan cheese

Sauce: Cook onion and garlic in butter until onion is tender. Stir in flour. Add clams with liquid. Add seasoning and heat to boiling. Cover and simmer 5 minutes.

Linguini: Heat water and salt to boiling. Add linguini and cook 7 to 10 minutes or until tender. Drain linguini and put in large serving dish. Add parsley to sauce and sauce to linguini. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
