SONJA'S BAKED BEANS 
1 (46 oz.) can pork and beans
6 slices bacon
1 med. onion, chopped
1/3 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. syrup (pancake)
2 tbsp. cider vinegar

Brown bacon in large heavy skillet. Remove from pan and pour off half of the grease. Saute onion in remaining drippings. Pour in can of pork and beans. Crumble bacon into beans. Add brown sugar, syrup and vinegar. Simmer 10 minutes to blend flavors.
