SOUR CREAM COFFEE CAKE | |
1 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 lb. butter or marg. 3 c. unsifted flour Pinch salt 3 tsp. baking powder 3 eggs 1 c. sour cream 2 tsp. vanilla or almond extract TOPPING: 1/2 c. chopped nuts 1/2 c. sugar 2 tsp. cinnamon 2 tbsp. marg. 1 tbsp. flour (Mix with pie cutter) Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs. Beat until fluffy. Add dry ingredients alternately with sour cream. Add extract. Grease and flour tube pan. Divide batter in 3 parts. Put filling between layers and on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 to 60 minutes. |
