CHOCOLATE COCONUT BARS 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. soft butter
1 1/3 c. flaked coconut
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 (6 oz.) pkg. (1 c.) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Combine sugar, soft butter and beat until creamy. Stir in coconut and slightly beaten eggs. Sift together and blend the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg. Stir in chocolate chips. Spread evenly into a greased 13"x9"x2" pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 22 minutes. Cool, cut into 2"x1" bars. Makes about 4 dozen.
