CHOCOLATE CRACKERS | |
1 column crackers 1 c. light brown sugar 2 sticks butter 12 oz. chocolate bits Line cookie sheet with foil. Lay side by side the crackers so that sides are touching. Meanwhile take butter and sugar and bring to a boil, stirring 5 minutes till caramelized. Pour caramel over crackers and bake 7 minutes in a preheated 400 degree oven. At 7 minutes, turn off oven and pull out shelf. Sprinkle chocolate bits over crackers and smear around with the back of a spoon. If crackers don't smear too well, put back in oven for a minute or two. Then take mixture, on pan and chill until very cold. When cold enough, take out and break up like peanut brittle. |
