DILLY BREAD | |
1 pkg. dry yeast 1/4 c. warm water 1 c. reamed cottage cheese, warmed 2 tbsp. sugar 1 tbsp. butter 1 tbsp. instant minced onion 2 tsp. dill seed or dill weed 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1 egg 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 c. flour Soften yeast in water. Combine all ingredients except flour. Then add flour gradually to form a stiff dough. Cover and let rise 50-60 minutes in a warm place. Stir down, turn into a greased 1 1/2 quart casserole or loaf pan. Let rise 30-40 minutes until light. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown. Brush with butter and sprinkle with salt. |
