CONFECTIONERS' SUGAR COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. confectioners' sugar, sifted
1 c. butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla or almond
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar

Mix butter and sugar, add egg and flavoring. Sift flour, cream of tartar, and soda. Mix all, chill 2-3 hours or overnight.

I use confectioners' sugar instead of flour to roll out. Cut with any holiday or round cookie cutters. Bake 10-12 minutes at 350 to 375 degrees.
