CHOCOLATE BROWNIE CAKE 
1 c. Crisco
1 stick butter
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix Crisco, butter, cocoa and water and bring to a boil. Sift flour and sugar together. Pour boiling mixture over flour and sugar. Mix well. Add eggs, buttermilk, soda and vanilla. Put in 13 x 9-inch pan and bake at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes.

Icing:

1 stick butter
3 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. milk
1 box confectioners sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts

Bring butter, cocoa and milk to a boil. Add confectioners sugar, vanilla and nuts. Pour over cake.
