MANDARIN ORANGE CAKE 
1 Duncan Hines butter yellow cake mix
1 can sliced mandarin oranges, drained
1 (8 oz.) pkg. Cool Whip
1 egg
3/4 c. sugar
1 (3 1/2 oz.) box vanilla instant pudding
1 lg. can crushed pineapple

Follow directions on cake mix box but add the egg and 3/4 cup sugar. Stir batter. Add mandarin oranges to batter. Stir. Pour batter into greased and floured baking pan and bake according to directions on cake mix box. I use 9 inch round pans. Cool cake. In a large mixing bowl, combine pudding mix, Cool Whip, and pineapple. Spread mixture on top and sides. Refrigerate.
