ENGLISH TEA COOKIES | |
1 1/2 c. flour 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 egg 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. butter, softened 1 tbsp. milk Cut butter into flour. Add remaining ingredients. Mix until well blended. Roll and chill. Slice, put thumbprint in center and fill with red raspberry preserves. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. NOTE: This recipe was given to me by Mark's mom who was born and raised in Stoke-on-Trent, England. She brought this recipe with her when she married and came to this country. |
