CHOCOLATE FUDGE CAKE 
3 sqs. unsweetened chocolate
2 1/4 c. sifted cake flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. (1 stick butter)
2 1/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. dairy sour cream
1 c. boiling water

Melt chocolate in double boiler and cool. Grease and flour two 9 inch layer cake pans. In large bowl, beat butter until soft, add brown sugar and eggs, beat on high speed for 5 minutes. Beat in vanilla and cooled melted chocolate.

Stir in dry ingredients alternately with sour cream, beating well with a wooden spoon, after each addition until butter is smooth. Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin). Pour in cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until centers spring back. Cool and frost with favorite chocolate frosting.
