PECAN PIE CAKE 
CRUST:

1 box Butter Recipe Golden cake mix (reserve 3/4 cup)
1 egg
1 stick butter, softened

Into a bowl place cake mix, less 3/4 cup, egg and butter. Mix well. Press into the bottom of a greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

FILLING:

3/4 c. reserved cake mix
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. dark Karo syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
2 c. chopped pecans

Mix 3/4 cup of cake mix from crust recipe with brown sugar, Karo, vanilla, eggs and chopped pecans. Mix well. Pour over crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Serves 12.
