SWEET & SOUR BEEF 'N CABBAGE 
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. sliced celery
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
2 tbsp. quick cooked rolled oats
2 tbsp. snipped parsley
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 med. head cabbage
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/4 c. cider vinegar
3 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper

In skillet cook beef, onion, celery, and green pepper until meat browns; drain fat. Sprinkle with oats, parsley, 3/4 cup salt, garlic powder and 1/8 teaspoon pepper. Core cabbage, cut into 6 wedges. Place atop meat. In bowl combine remaining ingredients. Mix well. Pour over cabbage and meat. Simmer 15-20 minutes, until cabbage is tender. Serve at once. Makes 6 servings.
