HIGH RISE BISCUITS (Frozen type) 
3 c. plain flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tbsp. sugar
1 egg beaten
1 1/8 c. milk
1/2 c. butter

Combine all dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Cut in butter to resemble coarse meal. Mix egg and milk, add at once to flour mixture. Mix to form a ball.

Turn dough out on floured wax paper and knead 10 to 12 times. Roll out 3/4 inch thick, cut out, place on ungreased cookie sheet, freeze. When frozen, store in airtight bag and keep in freezer.

To bake: Remove from freezer. Place on buttered baking sheet. Allow to thaw and rise a little. Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 450 degrees.
