CHINESE SPARE RIBS | |
4 cloves garlic 2 tsp. salt 1/4 c. honey 1/4 c. soy sauce 1 c. chicken broth 1/4 c. catsup 1 tbsp. cornstarch, water Mash garlic to fine pulp mix with salt. Mix garlic, honey, soy sauce, chicken stock and catsup together. Soak spare ribs in this mixture overnight or several hours. Turn ribs several times. Bake 10 minutes at 450 degrees in roasting pan. Reduce heat to 325 degrees; bake 1 hour and 20 minutes or until ribs are tender. Baste occasionally. SAUCE: Add enough water to make 1 cup. Make paste cornstarch and water. Stir into stock. Cook several minutes until clear and thick. Serve with ribs. |
