ONE MONTH KAHLUA 
3 c. Vodka
1/3 c. instant coffee
3 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. water
1 vanilla bean

Boil water. Stir in coffee and sugar. Split the vanilla bean lengthwise and add to mixture. Allow to cool. Add vodka. Pour into container and seal. Let it sit for one month in a cool, dry place. Strain through cheesecloth to remove seeds (from bean). Bottle.
