CHEESECAKE SQUARES 
1/3 c. butter, softened
1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. lemon juice

In large bowl of electric mixer beat butter and brown sugar until creamy. With a fork blend in flour and nuts until crumbly. Reserve 1 cup mixture for topping. Press remainder firmly and evenly over bottom of greased 8 inch square pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.

In a small bowl, beat granulated sugar and cream cheese until fluffy. Add egg, vanilla, milk and lemon juice. Beat until smooth. Pour cream cheese mixture over baked crust. Sprinkle reserved topping mixture evenly on top.
