HAMBURGER PIE 
1 lb. hamburger
1 sm. onion, chopped
3/4 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
1 (1 lb.) can cut green beans
1 can condensed tomato soup (may use mushrooms)
5 med. potatoes (cooked)
1/2 c. warm milk
1 beaten egg

Lightly brown meat, add onion. Cook until just tender, drain. Add seasonings, beans and soup. Pour into 1 1/2 quart casserole. Mash hot potatoes, add milk and egg. Season. Drop in mound over meat. (If desired, sprinkle with 1/2 cup shredded process cheese.) Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Serves 4.
