TEXAS SHEET CAKE 
1 stick butter
1/2 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. flour

Cream your sugar and butter. Beat in eggs. Mix cocoa, water, shortening in a pot; cook until shortening melts. Let cool. Mix in with sugar and butter. Add buttermilk, flour, salt, cinnamon and soda and stir until well mixed (do not beat). Pour mixture in cookie sheet pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Let cool then frost.

FROSTING:

6 tbsp. milk
1 stick butter
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla

Heat mixture until butter melts then stir in 1 pound of powdered sugar then add chopped walnuts.
