RUM BALLS (OR BRANDY) 
32 vanilla wafers
1 c. pecans
2 tbsp. cocoa
4 tbsp. white corn syrup
4 tbsp. rum or brandy
1 c. dates, chopped (opt.)
Confectioners' sugar

Blender crumb wafers. Put into large mixing bowl. Blender chop pecans; add to crumbs. Add cocoa, syrup and rum or brandy and mix well. Coat hands with confectioners' sugar and roll mixture into 1/2 inch balls. Refrigerate 1 hour, then roll in confectioners' sugar, coconut, crushed nuts or whatever else you desire.
