MEAT AND POTATO CASSEROLE 
1 lb. hamburger meat
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 can cream of mushroom soup
3 or 4 potatoes (med. size)
2 slices American cheese

Brown hamburger meat with chopped onion in a skillet. Salt and pepper to taste. Slice potatoes and place in a buttered casserole dish. Add browned meat and top with soup. Bake in oven for approximately 1 hour at 375 degrees. Add cheese slices for last 10 minutes of baking time.
