NORTHERN BEANS AND POLISH
SAUSAGE
 
1 pound of northern beans
3 large polish sausage franks
garlic powder
parsley
salt
pepper
Soul Food seasoning
Cavender's seasoning
1/2 white onion

Wash sorted and pre-soaked for an hour after 2 minutes of rapid boiling.

After beans have been properly soaked in prepared according to package directions, add sliced sausage into kettle with beans.

Add pepper to taste and about 1/4 teaspoon salt. Add a sprinkle of soul food seasoning (only if you like it), a few shakes of garlic powder, and a sprinkle of Cavendar's Seasoning.

Dice up one half of a white onion and add to the kettle. Let this boil for about an hour on medium. Keep lid on beans and stir every so often but not too much (about every 15 min).

Serve with corn bread or Cheddar biscuits and sweet tea to drink. (Have a good glass of red wine later after the kids start whining about having beans again).
