1 c. sugar
8 oz. carton light cream
2 eggs, beaten
2 tbsp. all purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. peeled, coarsely chopped cooking apples (3-4 med.)
9 inch unbaked pie shell
3 tbsp. sweet cream butter
1/4 c. all purpose flour
1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar

Heat oven to 375 degrees. In large bowl, combine sugar, light cream, eggs, 2 tablespoons flour, salt, and vanilla. Stir in apples; pour into pie shell. In 1 quart saucepan, melt butter; stir in 1/4 cup flour and brown sugar. Crumble over pie. Bake for 35-45 minutes or until filling is set. Cool completely on rack. Cover; store in refrigerator.

TIP: If crust begins to brown too much during baking, shield with aluminum foil.
