DEVIL DOGS 
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda

Cream (with mixer) shortening; add sugar, eggs, and cocoa. Gradually add flour with milk and vanilla. Mix well. Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 8 minutes at 425 degrees.

FILLING:

1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. confectioners' sugar
1/2 c. marshmallow fluff
1 tsp. vanilla
Dash of salt

Beat all together until smooth. Fill when cakes are cool.
