ICE CREAM FUDGE DESSERT 
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (16 oz.) can Hershey's syrup
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
24 Oreo cookies
1/4 c. butter, melted
1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream
1 (9 oz.) container Cool Whip
Walnuts or pecans for garnish

Bring the sweetened condensed milk, Hershey's syrup and 1/2 cup butter to boil. Simmer a few minutes. Add vanilla and set aside to cool. Crush Oreo cookies and 1/4 cup melted butter. Press into 13 x 9 inch pan. Freeze 30 minutes and put vanilla ice cream over crust. Freeze 30 minutes and pour cooled fudge sauce over ice cream. Freeze for another 30 minutes. Spread Cool Whip and sprinkle with walnuts or pecans. Freeze 24 hours.
