GIANT GINGER COOKIES 
4 1/2 c. flour
4 tsp. ginger
2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. molasses
sugar (to roll)

Mix dry ingredients. Beat shortening and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and molasses. Add 1/2 flour, beat, add rest and stir. Form into 2-inch balls. Roll in sugar.

Bake at 350°F for 12 to 14 minutes.
