CABBAGE WITH BACON BITS 
2 heads cabbage, wash and cut into 1/8 sections
5 strips bacon, cut in 1/2 inch bits sauteed but not until crisp
2 c. water
1 tsp. sugar
Salt to taste
Fresh ground black pepper

Saute the bacon bits until almost done but not crisp. Add the cabbage and water, sugar, salt and pepper. Cover and cook for about 20 minutes until cabbage is done. Stir often.
